Birkbrow Motor Company sales manager and former army cadet, John Speight, handed over a cheque for £300 so the Army Cadets can buy some vital equipment.
Company director Paul Beckett, who served with the Parachute Regiment and then The Green Howards, said: "We are proud to help the Army Cadets as they do a fantastic job in the community as a whole and often get overlooked. They raise thousands of pounds a year for Help for Heroes and the Poppy Appeal and it is vital that more local businesses rally round and support their local units. The money donated is always well spent and helps to provide vital training to many young people which is essential in helping with the life skills needed for adulthood."
Birkbrow Motor Company moved to Redcar at the end of last year and have continued with their practice of supplying the local community with low mileage cars. The majority of the use cars that they sell are ex-Motability stock and as such all have full service history and often very low mileages. The company is a family run business with Paul and Deborah fully involved with the local community and helping local charitable causes.

I recently purchased a 61 Ford Focus with only 2900 miles, my third car bought from Birkbrow Motor Company. As a lady buyer it can be quite daunting walking into a garage, but as usual Paul and the team were professional and courteous, and really listened to what my requirements were. There are no pushy salesmen, no salesman waffle, everything is very straightforward. Thanks again to Paul and staff, especially John who was very patient. I shall no doubt be returning in the future for car number 4.
